Swarthmore, Smith and Williams may be somewhat rigorous academically, but they are standard-issue, far-leftist campuses. Hillsdale, they ain’t.
Claremont (#17) was Conservative when I went there. Now the horrible President Gann has made it just another lousy Liberal cesspool.
It used to be particularly different and interesting. Now, it’s just a Me-Too school.
Swarthmore is 50K a year for undergrad...insane.
You mean the Hillsdale that advertises constitutional originalism, but steers a wide path around Ch. Justice John Marshall's elucidation of Article II Section 1 in his section of the decision in The Venus, 12 US 253 (1814), and never mentions our first congressional historian's essay on citizenship, Dr. David Ramsay's "Dissertation on Citizenship", nor the precedent confirming twenty five or so non-precedential citations, found in Minor v. Happersett. Hillsdale must owe someone! For those who take the trouble to read, forget Hillsdale and read original sources. At least with openly biased schools one knows to verify everything, which is a good lesson for life anyway.
