One of Hollywood's longest running -- and most admired -- couples has thrown in the towel. Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman, married for 30 years, have separated.

DeVito's rep, Stan Rosenfeld, confirmed to FOX411 that the pair, who have three grown children, are going their separate ways.

Remember back in band, gymnastics, ROTC, the Army, Marines ~ wherever ~ and they lined everybody up by height, there was always this one guy at the short end of the line ~ but no one ever thought anything about the guy next to him ~ usually to his right ~ but let me tell you, I care about these little people ~ they keep me feeling TALL ~ that, and a visit to a Japanese-American folk festival, or the JAL terminal.

So, I see this thing on one of my favorite actors ~ Br'r DeVito hissef' ~ and I"m flipping over there to check out the Roloff family.

Whew! They're still OK and have 6 more shows in the can.

There's a slightly famous lady in Northern Virginia ~ Viet Namese ~ she worked at the Merifield MPC ~ had to have a special stand to let her stand up at a distribution case, or to sit comfortably at a console on an LSM. Met her at the funeral of a fellow who'd been her old boyfriend years back.

A couple of postal supervisors took to teasing her by using her for DWARF TOSS. She filed an EEO complaint ~ and won; at the same time this exceedingly far leftwing ol'gal who'd been elected to Congress around here for a short time ~ Leslie Byrne ~ a good friend of Jim Moran (the drunken wife beater ~ for reference) decided that she just had to defend those poor supervisors from that 'midget'!

Their marriage was a microcosm of all the small things wrong with Hollywood, from a family standpoint. Sure, their 30-year union dwarfed other Left Coast marriages, but in the end, it mattered little.
