Regular use of Hydergine can lessen the effects of oxygen starvation in the event of a stroke or drowning. Google it, it’s a fascinating drug.

Having a brother in law who recently had a major stroke which damaged a good part of his brain, I find this very interesting and am hopeful it turns out to be what they think it will. The family is worried about a subsequent stroke which could incapacitate my BIL completely. The stroke happened in April and he has recently begun to walk after months of relearning. He also suffered some loss of cognitive function which is proving to be harder to regain. Anything that could potentially help stroke patients is a good thing.
