I saw this when it was originally broadcast. Buster certainly was on of Hollywood’s greatest film makers. Done in by Paramount!

That’s the truth- they killed his acting spirit- I beleive it was Charlie Chaplin who warned him not to sign with paramount- but he did and found out hte hard way that they would cripple his artistic prowess- unfortunately- they were more into mass produced canned scenes than they were about artistry-

Hi miss m - I read three books on Buster. I thought it was MGM that did not cultivate his talent. When he left Paramount he had free rein. But MGM ran things differently. He was one of many many stars. He got lost in their system. I just looked it up.
