Former vice president Al Gore is calling for an end to the Electoral College the system that cost him the presidency in 2000.
Gore said that many voters who live outside the dozen or so battleground states are cheated by the system that allocates delegates from the state level on a winner-take-all basis. He called for presidential elections to be determined by the popular vote.

Wow, what a shocker..Al Gore trying to make the ‘Relevant’ list in 2012..
That would be great! Then when vote boxes are stuffed in Chicago we all suffer!
Note to ALGORE: the way to do this is to AMMEND the US Constitution...a long tough process...so good luck bucko!

Shut up ya fat bastard!
This will never, ever, ever, ever happen. You will never get enough states to change the constitution.
Leftist freaks trying to cover their bases in advance of what they think could be a narrow electoral college loss for their messiah.
Yeah - Al Gore, what a chakra!
That’d be awesome. Then candidates would never waste a minute more than 100 miles from the east and west coast. And the already tilted game would sway even more to the interests of NYC/LA/San Fran, etc.
Al Gore thinks just because he won the popular vote in 2000, he thinks that Obama is going to win the popular vote in 2012....The only chance Obama has is with the electoral. He won’t win the popular vote for sure.
As close as the 2000 election was, without the electoral college we would have spent months counting every ballot in every precinct.
Did he dry up his glow-bull warming scam? So now he cant shut his big pie-hole and annoy us.
A LOSER IS A LOSER IS A LOSER. Always will and forever be Gore.
I see Gore is well into decade number two of being a sore loser.
How about calling for an end to giving algore a microphone?
I wonder what other parts of the Constitution algore doesn’t like (probably most of it!!).
2000 Presidential Election By County
“the system that cost him the presidency in 2000”
What an ignorant statement. Had the election been based on popoluar vote the entire 2000 campaign would have been run differently on both sides and people outside of the battleground states would have been more motivated to vote. Bush would have spent millions in Texas alone getting out the vote.
Just a side note. Did you see Mike Eruzione last night at the convention? I had to do a double take. He looked just like Gore.
Haha, imagine that.
