Exactly the point I bring up when people try to say the death penalty is not a deterrent. I have yet to see anyone who has received the death penalty commit another crime of any kind.

Texas learned the hard way. Back in about the 70s, they wimped out and reduced the death penalty down to life which meant some of the sickos had already served that amount of time so were set free to wander the streets. You get one guess what happened. Needless to say, Texas has the death penalty again and hopefully for always.
