The best solution for education excellence for African American children is the same as that for white, Hispanic, or Asian children. Children need intact families, and barring that, at least a custodial parent who pays attention to them, teaches them right from wrong, and pushes them to be the BEST that they can be.

Not all children are college material, and most won't go on to be PhDs, or doctors or lawyers, but any child can be encouraged to be the best they can be, and excel in the talents they have. If they are well educated, either in school, or at home, they can be successful in life.
