Ohio police say man attacked, killed by own dog

CINCINNATI (AP) - Police say a large dog attacked and killed its owner inside his apartment.
Cincinnati police say they aren't sure yet what breed the dog was, other than it was a big dog.

That was from 2003 when a guy had a 500 lb. tiger living in his small apartment. Tiger was anesthetized and placed into a refuge in Ohio, supposedly. Today the cops would just kill it and say they mistook it for a chihuahua.

The dog was an 86-pound male Alapaha, said Mike Retzlaff, director of operations for SPCA Cincinnati. SPCA is also caring for two 10-week old puppies found at the apartment. They are believed to be Alapahas as well. SPCA will hold onto all the animals while the police investigate, he said. Alapaha
