well, facebook is just one of many — if you have a bank account or loan, a gmail account, amazon account etc. your details are being used to ‘personalize’ offerings to you

Don’t give FB real info. My town listed is a few thousand miles from where I live, same with other thing. And I change things occasionally.
I view FB as a big joke anyway.

My daughter has our dogs name for her name! Everyone knows who she is.
