Ah...here it is!

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all!

I’m on my tablet so it’s too difgicult to paste the recipe but I’m making The Pioneer Woman’s pork roast with apples and onions for dinner.

So far smells fantastic!

Basic recipe is:
pork roast 3-4 lbs
3 apples cored and quartered
3 onions carmelized
rub roast with seasoning. I used a little salt, black pepper, small amount of basil, olive oil
Brown roast, put in casserole dish
Add apples, onions and a bay leaf
Add 1 cup beef stock
4 cups apple juice
cover and cook in 300 degree oven for 2-3 hours

Later I’ll try to post the exact recipe

Combine 12 to 18 chicken things with

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1 can cream of potato soup

1 can cream of chicken soup

Season with Lawrys Season Salt and Season Pepper.

Combine all ingredients in a crock pot and cook on low for about six to eight hours.

Remove chicken bones.

Serve over noodles or rice.

Lot's of carbs but it's really good

Did this a week ago and as simple as it is it was fantastic! Had to make copies of the recipe for everyone!

WORLDS EASIEST DINNER

From Nicko's Kitchen on You Tube.

Ingredients: (serves 4)

2 boneless / skinless chicken breasts sliced in half lengthwise or just get thin breasts.
1 cup white rice
1 can Celery soup
1 pkt French onion packet soup mix
2 onions chopped roughly

Into baking dish put 1 cup rice
Put the chicken breasts on top. If they are thick slice them in half. I use local Amish chicken breasts that come already sliced thinner than usual.
Put a can of cream of celery Add a package of French onion soup mix.
Add 1 cup - or can - of water
Mix well with a fork then pour on top of the chicken and rice.
Roughly chop the onion and put on top of the rest in the baking or casserole dish.
Put in a 375 degree oven for one and a half to two hours, checking after an hour to make sure things are going well. They will be, even I could make this, LOL!

If you have any questions watch the video in the link above.

This recipe is very similar to a recipe my mother had called “Chicken Every Sunday.” I tried to search for it, but was unsuccessful. The idea was, you put it in before going to church and it’s done when you get home. It was a favorite of mine when I was a kid. She used mushroom soup though.

happy Mothers’ Day FRiend!!!!

This is my dessert for tonight -

The Thursday Night Truffletini.

Ingredients:
1.5 oz. Baileys® Original Irish Cream
.5 oz. Smirnoff® Vodka
.5 oz. Godiva® Chocolate Liqueur
chocolate syrup

Directions:
Add Baileys, Smirnoff and Godiva to an ice-filled shaker.
Strain into a chilled martini glass with chocolate syrup drizzled on the sides.
Garnish with mint.

This recipe contains no more than 0.6 fl. oz. of alcohol per serving.

This recipe is from Bailey’s who obviously don’t understand my idea of a drink!

The Bailey’s and the Godiva were my mothers’ day present!

I’ve never tried cooking it with the rice in with the chicken, nor with boneless breasts. Oh - and I use wine instead of water!

I think you have just solved my “what’s for dinner” problem for tomorrow - thank you both!

As my saintly Mom passed 7 years ago at the age of 93 and am presently with a significant other of the female persuation and I have no one to fete or cook for, (and as I'm on another diet) I am settling for leftover BBQ'd chicken breast with leftover fried Rice.

However, in honor of all the Freeper Mothers and Freepers' Moms, wives, etc., I hereby salute and toast them all with a nice tumbler of Crown Royal, my concession for dieting and passing up on some of the delicious sounding recipes provided here as well as some of my own delicacies.

God Bless all Moms, all Freepers, our Military and God Bless America!

TC posted this on another thread - but I thought it should be posted here!!!!

Central American Slaw
(”Healthy Latin Cooking”)

4 Cups finely shredded green cabbage
2 shredded carrots
2 to 4 minced jalapeno peppers
4-5 tbs. white vinegar
1/2 tsps. granulated sugar
salt and pepper to taste

Mix it all up, refrigerate for at least 24 hours prior to serving, for best flavor. I like more carrots than the recipe calls for.

I shouldn’t post from my tablet. You are correct!

HTML skills failed me. It should also read cream of celery, mushroom, potato or what happens to be handy!

My mom also used a similar recipe for cheap cuts of pork.
