No, they did not. No one should tell anyone else they are not pretty enough to do something. Reminds me of reading about the toddler pageant girl who said, “if you are not pretty, you do not belong in pageants. She was talking about other toddlers. I think the lady is very pretty. When are we going to stop judging others by looks? BTW, a friend told me about meeting a Black guy with long hair, etc. He was kinda afraid to talk to him but found out that the other man was as nice as he could be. It was yes sir, no sir. Don’t judge others by their looks.
Unless it will drive out all the customers and damage the bar.
I think the fact she is obviously overweight made them think of their liability if she were either to crash through the bar or fall off of it. And my guess is she was probably drunk or tipsy. I do not think looks had much of anything to do with their decision.
Isn't that what a beauty contest is all about?
What about your spouse? Were you attracted to him by his looks?
Well trying to climb up on the bar fairly well settles the issue.
It was probably just a safety issue, there probably was not enough reinforcement supporting the bar and they did not want the poor girl to fall through the bar or fall on a paying patron.
I agree that she should not have been told she is not pretty enough. But excluding people based on an arbitrary decision about their looks seems to be the accepted and legal, if cold, standard at many nightclubs.
I am sorry but this is pathetic. First, the frequency of people being offended or outraged by something is of epic proportion. And this whine is beyond ludicrous. This girl should keep this humiliation quiet and move on. A compliant like this should not be indulged.
Secondly, it is shocking that ABC (?!) would try to make this a national story! That tells you all you need to know about it. Liberal lameness. A business should not be told by the PC police how to run their business.
look I'm a 3+ guy..I'm not doing it and if I'm out drunk and stupid and try the bouncer should stop me to ...same reason the bouncer are guy and not little girls....you size it appropriate for somethings you want to do not everything you want to do
When they stop trying to climb on bar tables to dance?
It was obviously a safety issue in her case, if she really does have a problem then she should contact OSHA.......
