Georgia? How bad does it get in Winter in Georgia that they need the groundhog stunt?
Here in Arizona, I saw my shadow when I walked out of the house this morning. When I got to my office about a mile away, no shadow! It was snowing like crazy. Weird.
Strange.
Here in California we haven’t had a winter this year so an early spring wouldn’t make much difference.
LOL
Its hot here today
Im about to go dig some more of my veggie garden in TShirt and shorts...
Tan City
:)
Here in south central or southeastern Virginia it is already spring.
I here the winters in Georgia are brutal.Occasionally drops below freezing at night.
Who is this “General Lee” you post of?
The OFFICIAL Groundhog Day Groundhog is Punxatawney Phil...several thousand drunk at 7:30 am Pennsylvanians (who hike to Gobler’s Knob) have my back on this.
Personally, my favorite PA ghog is Gus. He brings lottery tickets with him.
Phil, btw, did see his shadow...so we get six more weeks of Spring up here (no real winter yet!)
Seems like they don’t trust some yankee groundhog, so they went and got their own.
The one in Pennsylvania is the largest celebration according to Wikipedia.
For whatever it is worth, most of the other groundhogs say it is going to be an early spring on Groundhog Day Wikipedia page.
