I just finished watching all the seasons of The Dick Van Dyke Show on DVD, and now I’m watching the Mary Tyler Moore Show. She and Van Dyke just can’t be beat.

I love the DvD show too! Van Dyke and Moore play so well off of each other. I always had a soft spot for Richard Deacon in his bit part (owing to my love of Leave it to Beaver, where he played Lumpy’s dad), too.

I remember Dick Van Dyke said in a interview that the censors were so strict, that Moore was asked to wear a “capri pad” when dressed in those tight slacks. I was left to imagine what that was about.
