Everyone needs a devil of some sort to explain why things aren't going according to their understanding of life, the universe, and everything. Environmentalism is yet another manifestation of the old, old phenomenon of trying to find something which will explain everything bad and, at the same time, give environmentalists, because of their belief, a way to absolve themselves of guilt and to protect themselves from harm.

It’s not bogus. When I lived in South Carolina there was an artist in our city who legally changed his name to “Blue Sky” because he wanted to fight the poisoning of our atmosphere and blocking out of sunlight from jet contrails. I’m not kidding. These people exist. And a lot of them are Paulestinians.
