Singer Andy Williams has been diagnosed with bladder cancer, it has been claimed.
The 83-year-old, famous for Moon River and Can't Take My Eyes Of You, has began a three-week court chemotherapy course in Houston, Texas on October 31, according to the National Enquirer.
His official website notes that he is unlikely to perform at a scheduled event later this year in Branson, Missouri, the home of his Moon River Theatre.
'Due to health reasons Andy may not make a live appearance in his Christmas Show,' his website states...
A source is quoted as telling the publication: 'Andy got the diagnosis of invasive bladder cancer very recently.'
'That means his cancer has invaded the lining of his bladder, but doctors weren't sure yet whether it had spread to other parts of his body.'...

A solid conservative: Andy Williams accuses Barack Obama of following Marxist theory
Oh, that’s too bad. He and his brothers always had the best Christmas shows. I always think about them this time of year even though they have not been on in decades.
Yes, prayers for Andy Williams!
Thank you for this sad information.
I love his voice...Healing prayers.
Not to criticize Andy Williams, but the only version of Moon River that I care to hear is the original...

I have always liked Andy Williams. Prayers for his recovery.
I should look so good at that age.
Moon River is what makes Andy.
We rarely think about age with those we respect or admire.
I could have guessed he was fifty, but with my age of 67,
I realize that we think of the greats only in another time.
I would say “Speak Softly Love” or “Love Story” make Andy, going by which ones I keep on my phone...
God Speed, Andy.
And don’t forget, Rush used Andy’s version of Born Free for the ANimal Rights Update until Andy respectfully asked him to stop.
Oh no....prayers up for a wonderful singer who always radiated goodness.
What about “Music To Watch Girls By”?
That’s a classic.
“Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You” was Frankie Valli.
And as for Andy Williams, I always liked his Christmas songs, too.
Best wishes, Mr. Williams.
I liked Jerry Butler’s version.
Iowa boy...
Prayers up for Andy!
Not that any cancer is good, if you are going to get cancer, bladder cancer is the one to get. It is usually slow growing and having it break through to the outside of the bladder is unusual.
It is very treatable and as the oncologist told my mother in law: you will probably die with bladder cancer, but not from bladder cancer.
This is very far from a death sentence.
The downside, other than the cancer, is the method for getting to the cancer...not very comfortable.
