My GF’s dog goes nuts just seeing another dog or small animal on the TV screen. If the critter runs off screen to the left, the dog runs to the window on that side looking out to see where it went.
And yet when you call it or give it a command it just stares at you. If there are idiot savant dogs, this is one of them.
One of my dogs *hates* the Mr. Stuffy oreo cookie commercials. When Mr. Stuffy comes on my usually sweet natured GSP growls and charges the TV. Woe to Mr. Stuffy if he breaks into the house. :)
One of our cats goes ballistic if we watch any videos that feature small kittens mewing, crying for mommy, or other “distressed” kitten sounds. Yes, the same calico who tries to mother a full grown male cat who’s all of her size and then some, once he got his full (lanky) growth.
Never seen an animal who was so desperate to be a mother before...
