In a video interview this week, White House Office of Science and Technology Director John P. Holdren told CNSNews.com that he would use the free market economy to implement the massive campaign he advocated along with Population Bomb author Paul Ehrlich to de-develop the United States.
In his role as President Barack Obamas top science and technology adviser, Holdren deals with issues ranging from global warming to health care.
A massive campaign must be launched to restore a high-quality environment in North America and to de-develop the United States, Holdren wrote along with Paul and Anne H. Ehrlich in the recommendations concluding their 1973 book Human Ecology: Problems and Solutions.

Hell in a handbasket.
We're still suffering greatly from the aftermath of the Clintooon years, and now we'll have to basically upturn our society to repair the damage from the two grifters living in our White House. My God, we're in trouble.
Not even Peanuthead Carter was this bad.
OK, Mr. Holdren, send me a picture of your log cabin sans electric service, your bicycle you use for your primary mode of transportation, provide proof you have no cell phone, do not fly in any air craft, have no investments in any industrial companies, and then we can talk.
Thanks or posting this. I think. We are going to have to de-develop everything this bunch of America haters has done.
It is amazing how the enemies of the United States and our civilization can speak so openly now of their goals, whether they be Islamic Jihadis in our midst, Marxists or proto-Nazis.
And even worse, many of these people are in our Government or maintained by the Government.
simply shocking.
All 5.5 billion people can be stood up with a square yard of space in the Grand Canyon. Give everyone a house with maybe 4 or 5 to the house, and you couldn't fill up Texas.
To recycle Erlich is incredibly scary since the fool was shown to be an idiot back 20 or 30 years ago.
Is there no end to the radical communists in this illegal administration?
They usually aren't this open with their agenda. But in a nutshell, this is why the left fights domestic energy development, because expensive energy is their lever towards "de-development" - if commutes by car become unaffordable, people will have to move back into the cities, and the exurbs can then be bulldozed.
So to all of the liberals that have moved out into the suburbs from the city, take note - your political fellow-travellers on the far left want to send you right back from where you came.
If you tried to de-develop a neighboring country, it would be called a war. In this case, the illegal czar is at war with us. Where is the Justice Department... oh, wait... never mind.
Seems everything already going to play Mr. "Science" Czar. Does anyone see the irony in his stated goal? By a science czar?
Yes Holdren and a lot of the czars are a bunch of sickies. We need a day of reckoning for them in the not to near future.
When the government attempts to control nearly every aspect of the economy, it is anything but free nor does it resemble authentic capitalism.
Holdren is a Neo-Eco-Luddite Collectivist Hypocrite piece of Inhuman Trash.
Think that sums him up quite nicely.
And how, exactly, would this help the poor and others in need? What about the Children? The elderly?
Obviously, the obama Regime hates the poor, children and the elderly, the most defenseless among us.
The first thing we need to do is “de-develop” them with extreme prejudice.
“OK, Mr. Holdren, send me a picture of your log cabin sans electric service, your bicycle you use for your primary mode of transportation, provide proof you have no cell phone, do not fly in any air craft, have no investments in any industrial companies, and then we can talk.”
Well said.
I second that.
People like Holdren believe that families who own single-family homes are using "more than their fair share" of the surface footprint, and would prefer to see many families stacked into the same square footage.
