Anyone else having trouble getting on Windows Live Hotmail?

Is anyone else having issues with Hotmail tonight? I have had problems logging on for about 3 hours. I didn't know if this was isolated to me or if there is a general problem.

I have been hanging on the Live.com authentication step, so I can’t get in, either.

No, it’s working fine. But abougt a month ago I couldn’t open my inbox for about a week with my laptop. It worked on my netbook fine. I had to restore a backup from before it started happening.

There is some suggestion on IT websites that Microsoft was caught in a power blackout that has hit San Diego.
Boy. It doesn't take much to disrupt a major form of world wide communications.

Report of being down ... do not know the reason. Maybe related to power outages. From what has been gleamed Microsoft has issued a statement of down at present.

I hate hotmail !! I’m bombarded with junk mail. Overwhelmed even! Just a guess but I seems like hotmail taps into the ms search engines then sends you e-mail related to your searches. Because it seems awfully funny that I get e-mail about things I’m seaching for. I don’t have that problem with gmail !

We had two Nuke plants go down as a result of some Az power employee screw up.
Power went off for almost 7 hours here in SoCal.

Just tried it. Signed on just fine. Might be the server where you Hotmail account is hosted. They don’t use the same server for everyone.
Could be a lot of packet traffic related to the threats over 9/11. A server where I host my web page went down. Called tech support, the guy looked into it and said there was a lot of traffic.
