When the Federal Communications Commission granted LightSquared Inc. expedited approval to launch a new wireless Internet service, some powerful voices in Washington expressed alarm, including the Pentagon and one-third of the U.S. Senate.

evidently, obama was once a lightsquared investor
It pays to be politically connected I guess. Why do taxpayers have fund Obama’s friends?
How much are taxpayers giving them?
barr program lawsuit and this one
seems i am paying to fight the implementation as well as the government to defend them
Maybe there was a point to the “Magic negro” title?
and if they wreck the GPS systerm, you’ll be paying to fix that too
The course of this controversy really does resemble Aesop’s Fable of the Wolf and the Lamb, wherein the Wolf complains of fictious insults and affronts to himself by the lamb, each of which the lamb easily dismisses. In the end the wolf declares he will eat him anyway, and he does.
In fact, Lightsquared has played the wolf to a tee, accusing the GPS faction of substandard manufacturing, delays in response, and the like.
Not aware of any tax $ but the tax-supported FCC gave them a waiver to do this without doing their homework, so in the end, we’ve subsidized political corruption.
The will be expensive and will ttake a lot time. People will lose their lives. This will be an epic debacle (my Dad helped invent GPS).
same thing with the barr program this administration decided to end
It's like, without that critical bit of technical data, how can we -- you know -- evaluate the merits of this scheme?
In the meantime, my friends, Courage!
