This is such absolute crap, Regardless of their mission the laws of physics do not change and the speed of light (in a vacuum) does not change either. It is a long way to the next galaxy.

Been a long day - 18 hour sort... (OK, I’ll quit my whining)

DARPA is money well spent in R%D compared to NASA (um, ah, oh, driving the effort, um, vision).

DARPA - outsource a SOW and $$ to everyone (qualified under ITAR) and get the best results fast.

NASA does win some proposals but looses many more than private industry and certain, non blinded by Progressive PC, academia.

It would be no problem to load up several million Earthlings into a General Service Vehicle (Plate Class) and make the trip in luxury to Alpha C in a few days...
