James Bond actor Daniel Craig has recently admitted he believes the script for the latest Bond film is far better than Casino Royale.
The Cowboys & Aliens actor said he was excited to reunite with Road to Perdition director Sam Mendes for the upcoming Bond 23, where he will be reprising his role as secret agent James Bond.
During an interview, the actor told Cowboys & Aliens director Jon Favreau: "I think it's a great choice because Sam has a fervour and energy to really direct a Bond movie, with a capital B."

I’ll only believe it after I see it and maybe not even then. “Casino Royale” was incredible (except for the socialist/big brother/microchip in the arm bit) but “Quantum of Solace” was terrible.
He wouldn’t lie about a thing like this.
Note to UA/MGM and writers...When a Bond plot takes him to Latin America, the movie generally sucks. "Moonraker," "License To Kill" and "Quantum of Solace."
Bad. Worse. Worst.
I haven’t seen Casino Royale, but I really enjoyed Cowboys & Aliens.
Excellent movie. Best since "The Living Daylights," IMO.
1. The bad guy was an Al Gore clone.
2. Olga Kurylenko
I liked Quantum. Go figure.
“2. Olga Kurylenko”
She was fantastic in Centurion’ as the cold-blooded Pict hunter. Gave Michael Fassbender (Magneto in X Men 1st Class) and the rest of the Roman survivors nightmares for the rest of the movie LOL
Quantam was a letdown after Casino Royale, but then again, Casino set such a high bar, that it would have taken some effort to come close to it.
Quantum was barely watchable. Batman Begins set a high bar and The Dark Knight delivered.
I hated the opera scene in Quantum. I’m seriously going to believe one British agent can infiltrate the Uber oranized crime organization because they sit in an ampitheater?
I’d think the same ones that told them they have people everywhere would have better IT guys and better security.
I doubt I will se this new movie? I have never seen the last one that was released. I do not like the latest James Bond. Too many negative things about him that turn me off. And the scripts are the pits.
I liked Quantum, too, but if I hadn’t known it was a Bond movie I never would have guessed.
I thought “Quantum of Solace” was worse than “A View To A Kill”. As weak and tired as the 1985 Bond adventure was, it at least offered a John Barry score, some Cold War-era ambience and a small supporting role from Alison Doody(”Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade”) to help make it tolerable.
I rather enjoyed “Moonraker” and to a lesser extent, “Licence To Kill” so Latin American locations aren’t a problem for me. The problem with QOS was its dreadful PC/Marxist script and pretentiously slipshod direction.
“The problem with QOS was its dreadful PC/Marxist script and pretentiously slipshod direction.”
I’ll agree with the slipshod direction, but the bad guy was a front man for a “green” company that exploits people in the name of the environment!!!! That’s not that PC if you ask me. If the guy was the leader of the “Axxon” or “Shnell” or “British Petrol” corporation, I might by the Marxist angle ... but the bad guy was a Frenchman running Algore’s dream company!
The things that ticked me off about QoS was the terrible theme song, the poor opening credits, and the idiotic different fonts used for different cities in the film :-) .
... And ignore my poor subject/verb agreement in my last post ... too many shaken but not stirred martinis tonight :-).
Agree Quantum was bad. But CR was great, and I thought it was one of the weakest of the original Fleming stories to begin with.
Rinse, and repeat.
Will the gorgeous Rachel Weisz be in the new Bond film or not?
