Go post on one of the multitudinous "ecstasy of college football" threads.
The only college football comments I've seen on FR are posted on the pro threads.

I for one am tired of the down right idol worship of “professional” athletes getting paid for their motor skills.

Envy? No, I am more concerned about our society being more interested in entertainment than the survival of the United States.
Football should still be a game played by kids for the fun of it and for the life skills it teaches.
For the time being though, the US is still a semi-free country so enjoy the season.

It is possible to enjoy football and still be aware of what’s going on in the world....nothing wrong with a little diversion from all of the stuff going on.
Why on earth is that so hard for some people to understand?
Seems to be a lot of these Taliban-like anti-sports people on Free Republic lately.
