What Are You Reading Now? - My Quarterly Thread
7/07/11 | MplsSteve

Hi everyone! I hope your 4th of July was a good one.

it's time again for my quarterly "What Are You Reading Now?" thread. As you know, I consider Freepers to be among the most well-read of those of us on the Internet and I like to see what other Freepers are reading these days.

It can be anything - a classic novel, a trashy pulp romance, a technical journal, etc. Please do not deile this thread by posting "I'm reading this thread". it became very unfunny a long time ago.

I'll start. I'm just finishing "Chancellorsville 1863: The Souls of the Brave" by Ernest Furgurson. It's OK. Nothing to rave about though.

Well, what are you reading now? Let's hear about it!

I am going to disappoint you horribly! I am reading, “Charlotte’s Web” to my five year old. There will come a day when I can pick a book of MY selection, without pictures. I am not there yet! I will take notes, however, on any good books FR’s are reading (unless they have pictues and I will ignore those).

Living Dead II. It’s an anthology of zombie short stories. It came out about a year ago. I’m enjoying it very much. It’s better than volume I. I know there are a lot of Freeper zombie fans out there.

My friend loaned me The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy saying "I cannot believe that you, Jane Austen and Pink Floyd loving anglophile, have never read this." So I'm saving it for Saturday, when I have to fly cross-country. Looking forward to it. Don't tell me any spoilers!

Just finished “Confessions of D-List Supervillian.” Someone wrote that book for me...

Now I’m trying to clear my way through the 800-odd “samples” on my Kindle so that I can get to my 500+ books that I have on the Kindle. Then its on to the Wish List!
