IMHO, this sounds like rent seeking by interventional radiologists. The argument for this hypothesis escapes me.
My layman's view is that these clogged veins (brain drains, so to speak) can't be a good thing. If it is so that the angioplasty relieves, at the least, the symptoms of MS then why not?
