News9.com:
HOUSTON A West Point cadet is speaking out about an incident at Houstons Bush International Airport involving R&B singer Patti LaBelle.
Houston native Richard King claims he was attacked while waiting for his family to pick him up outside the airport terminal.
I had no idea who Patti LaBelle was until this incident, King said.
Surveillance cameras captured parts of what happened.
I was on the phone and thats all I remember. I remember waking up the next day with staples in my head, King said.
King was pushed into a concrete pole by LaBelles bodyguards and when he tried to stand up, he was unable to do so.
According to the police report, witnesses told investigators King threw the first punch.
On the surveillance video, King is seen talking on the phone before the altercation.

Patti LaBelle needs a crew of bodyguards? Really? She could knock on my door and say “Hi” and I would have zero clue as to who she was.
What did the guy do deserve such an attack?
Couldn’t tell anything by the video.
Can’t tell much from the video.
Where is the rest of the video...the portion before this, where he allegedly “threw the first punch”?
Where is it? That would answer a lot.
I don’t understand why, if that is true, he would be on the phone, not looking like expected a confrontation at all.
And who are the witnesses? Members of Patti LaBelle’s “entourage”? It would be helpful to know that also.
Based on what I see, I tend to believe his version of events.
Holder’s “people”?
No doubt the racists, Imam Ozero and Holder, are behind this West Point decision - gotta protect “his people”.
He hardly threw the first punch, he merely tried to push the gal’s thug away from his face. And even still it could hardly be characterized as a “punch”....more like whoa, back off dude.
The kid is a victim of PC.
There must be something to this story we are missing
West Point does not expell people who get beat up for minding their own business. (at least they didn’t used to)
Maybe this guy is a wiseguy who attracts this sort of behavior (not good for the military)
or maybe he was expelled for ‘disrspectin’ one of Holders People.
If it is the second I hope he wins a huge lawsuit
Let’s see - who should we believe? A West Point cadet, or thuggist bodyguards of an R & B singer?
Tough decision!
>>>Patti LaBelle needs a crew of bodyguards? Really? She could knock on my door and say Hi and I would have zero clue as to who she was.<<<<
After seeing what happened to the cadet I’ll say that if Patti LaBelle and her gang of thugs showed up at my door uninvited I’d have good cause to be concerned for the safety of my family and I, or my husband, would respond the same as we would with any other kind of thug showing up at our door.
The idiot cops who had their pictures taken with the starlet should be disciplined.
How unprofessional can you get?
HPD only interviewed LaBelle and her entourage.
They don't seem to have any unbiased witnesses, do they?
If the races were reversed, if that had been a white celebrity’s two white bodyguards attacking a black man, this would be national news, a hate crime, and Eric Holder, Al Sharpton, and Jesse Jackson would be all over it. A white celebrity would be looking for relief.
I hope he successfuly sues the thugs, LaBelle and the HPD for a fortune.
The West Point chickenshit who made this decision is a disgrace and should be removed from his position. Since when can't a cadet stand in a public place and defend himself when accosted?
I’m with Dr. Thorne.
True. We have slipped down the “Alice in Wonderland” rabbit hole!
Cadet King got bounced out of West Point by his peers. West Point made a statement last week alluding to an Honor Violation. No specifics.
It's hard to say what exactly happened, but it may be related to questioning in the LaBelle incident. He may have been shown to have made a false statement.
