Hello from Chicago. I just got back from my weekly grocery shopping and I want to start an inflation report. Beef was up 33% from a month ago. Milk fluctuates wildly. My grocery bill was 25% higher than a month ago and my cart was 15% lighter by volume.

It means that I cut down on my purchases and the cost still went up. That would be volume.

Good post.
This is the kind of stuff that gets papered over by the MSM, but will be a poison pill for Baraq’s re-election in 012.

It is going to get much
worse.

Hate to tell you, but it's not any better out here. No escaping these HIGH PRICES.
Thanks Obama!!

I noticed the glaring reduction in the “mason” jar size for spaghetti sauce. I buy them to recycle the jars for canning. We are almost at the jelly and jam size now.

Share it to all. The base line to me is that the price of beef went up very quickly. Milk went up two months ago. Beef went nuts two weeks ago where we shop, and we shop aggressively.

Here in Indy, milk has gone from $2/gal to $3/gal since the first of the year.

What the hell does that even mean? Your shopping cart took up 15% fewer cubic inches this week? I like to think he took all of the groceries home and threw them into the bathtub to measure the displacement.

I did that with Mr. Bubble. It got messy.
