As newly minted princess Kate Middleton greeted Michelle Obama in the ornate surroundings of Buckingham Palace Tuesday, it was hard to believe she was wearing a $340 dress from British retailer Reiss a frock any commoner could buy.
(snip)
While Michelle Obama has also been applauded for wearing clothes from affordable stores such as J.Crew and H&M, she also favors big-name designers such as Jason Wu and Isabel Toledo. The floral Barbara Tfank dress she wore to meet Middleton this week cost at least $2,000.

Photo at link...I know Kate is 1/2 Michelle Obama's age, but it's funny to see how the fashion morons keep telling me that the First Lady is so "stylish" when I look at a weird blue Zsa-Zsa Gabor dress, but see Kate in a simple dress completely upstage her...
Sarah Palin will do the same, and she's the same age.

When I look at that photo even I can see what’s happening there in a fashion sense, I almost feel sorry for our hapless “First lady”, if she were a nice woman, or loved America, she would be worthy of pity.

They’re only perpetuating a fallacy to the archives of history. This will all be seen for the joke it is once the blinding, sycophantic spell fritters away.

MO looks completely overdressed. The jacket however, would be cute over a black dress for a cocktail party.

Post the pic of the Wookie in Chief going up the steps with the two elegant French ladies...
I think it was Sarkosies (sp?) wife and a close relative ...

That photo of the three of them on the steps is a photoshop. The two ladies is the french gal (Sarkozy - sp?) and I believe a princess (lecia? or something)from Spain. Both beautiful women.
The photo of Obama is from a different trip - but she is going up the same stairs. The photoshop does provide a good means of comparison. (Well, there is NO comparison, but you know what I mean.)

Once in a while she looks very nice. She can’t help she looks and walks like a wookie. I’m sorry, but she does. If the lib media would stop rubbing her in my face as a “fashionista” (please - I’m not that stupid) I wouldn’t feel so mean toward her.
She’s not a nice person, she’s classic nouveau riche. The notion that money makes class. It’s a classic attitude of those who resent the rich because they have money. They don’t get that money will never make them anything but gauche.
I will absolutely guarantee that the day Michelle leaves “public life” she will never put a cheap dress on her back again.

Actually that was only $200.00 for her dress and $1800.00 for the full body shave and lip wax.

The floral Barbara Tfank dress she wore to meet Middleton this week cost at least $2,000.Especially if the dress was custom made for Michelle. I think the 2 grand is if she bought off-the-rack. And I doubt she can.
