and that is all I ask to know. But can you believe it, people refuse to say that they do or don't? And they claim it is a personal question to ask that on a religion forum?!!
I even made a concession to our Baptist friends who of course are Christian -- as they baulk at creeds, as long as they hold to the main points of the creed (I even say ok if they don't completely agree with the baptism part) but there are still many of the most virulent haters who won't say whether they even believe in Jesus Christ as Lord, God and Savior! The same poster who posted the hateful comments I linked above, is one such..
This post just absolutely baffles me. Not that I don't understand what you're trying to say, but I don't understand the mindset behind refusing to say what you believe. I mean, I understand it if the person is a troll, but trolling to what end? Do these trolls really think that ridicule can change a person's beliefs and convictions? Do they not know history? Do they not know what happens every time someone successfully persecutes the Church? If the entire point of trolling is to sideline and marginalize Christians, the absolute worst thing they could do is ridicule us. If I were a troll, I'd be attempting to get the Body of Christ relax and start concentrating on worldly things instead of concentrating on spiritual matters like doctrine or eschatology. Nothing good, from their prospective, can come of a group of Christians attempting to determine who's right about a subject because eventually the matter will be settled and the experience gained will be put to use in other areas.
At least we don't have to deal with the magnet crap like other groups do. That's just asinine, even for something from 4chan.
That's because they DON'T. Their only purpose in the Religion forum is to sow division and incite anger.
