I'll jump in here and say that I like Cain, and I like Palin.

A lot of people saw Katie Couric interview Palin in 2008 and decided right then and there that Palin was an idiot. A few of her answers were less than stellar, therefore she was a blithering buffoon. I thought that was a ridiculous assessment.
In the same way, this interview with Cain may not have been everything one could have wished, but I still like the guy and I will not write him off on the basis of a chat with Chris Wallace.

Do you make any distinction between answering questions on the fly from an obviously antagonistic, condescending interrogator, and laying out a presumably carefully thought-out campaign platform which you immediately have to admit will not work?

1) Off the cuff answer

2) Carefully planned campaign strategy

Maybe you're right. Maybe they are both the same thing. I'm all out of answers.
