Get a gun, learn to use it, and be mentally willing to do what needs to be done.

Get a good security system for when you’re away.

Cough up the money to properly insure guns, silver, jewelry, and collectibles. It’s not as expensive as you may think.

Consumer reports says this about guns:

Gun ownership is a controversial topic, but research has shown that homeowners with guns increase the risks in their home. Homeowners might make the mistake of not getting proper training and not securing their firearms. Thirty-two percent reported having a gun as a security measure. And 73 percent of gun owners thought it was very good or excellent for protection.

I have a difficult time even believing the page numbers in CR.
Their staff is fully populated with east coast liberals.

Be aware of your surroundings. Never have a routine. Try not to take the same way home every day. Leave enough room between your car and the car in front so you can get out of trouble in a hurry.
Buy a pistol. learn how to shoot it.Be prepared to use it if the time comes.
