Anyone ever have a Kidney Stone? I had this excrutiating pain in my side/back area and drove myself to the hospital.
Worst pain I ever experienced. I was like a baby screaming and crying in the hospital. Turns out, it was a kidney stone but the pain came and went in less than 2 hours.
The nurse said it is sometimes worse than giving birth to a child...
spiel check is yur frind.
I think if you’ve ever had a kidney stone you would forgive a few typos....
Only two hours? Thank your lucky stars!
I had kidney stones 22 years ago. Doctor said it was calcium build up. I used to drink a gallon of milk a day. Haven’t touched it for 22 years. I’ll never forget the pain.
If you think that was painful, wait till you pass it.
No, but I stuned my beeber on the way to see Hugh. It was quite series....
had the0 ten years ag6..
Three. The first dissolved on its own with an IV. The second passed after about a day. The third didn’t go away after a week (on painkillers), so they removed it.
Tests showed no good reason for formation, so all they could tell me was to drink a LOT of fluids. It has now been over 20 years, but I get tired of knowing where every restroom is within 20 miles...
take magnesium; it will dissolve them
Perhaps some levity might help.

Wisdom: My brother had two kidney stones, but he wisdom both out.
been there
done that
won’t go back again
every twitch you have for your entire life will make you go.....WTF in fear....
The wife had a stone lodged 1/2 way down her ureter for 2 years before they could find it and pull it out. The immense pain came and went, and it drained our energy and our savings.
We acquired a more realistic view of the health care industry and their limitations.
Today they use laser if you cannot pass them, it is a pretty pain less procedure. The pain prior to it is horrible, sorry, but it is as bad as delivering a baby! lol
Kidney stones, Gallstones and Pancreatic stones. I’m a walking gravel pit. None are good, but kidney stones are the top daddy-rabbit of pain.
I do have more in both kidneys. Best advice, drink lots of water and lemonade or water with lemon juice in it. The lemon breaks up the stones, and the water keeps the stones from forming, I guess.
I hope they are having the stone analyzed to tell you what kind you are forming, then avoid those foods. I was told if you get a kidney stone, you are prone to form more. Just what you want to hear!
I'm glad you're better!
You need to connect with ladyjag. If I remember correctly she went through absolute hell with kidney stones.
magnesium makes calcium dissolve. Don’t give up calcium; just take more mag. at least 800 mg/day but not in oxide form.
I once had one that put me in the hospital because it ruptured a blood vessel in my kidney and caused an infection.
Another time one woke me up early in the morning. I started driving to the hospital in agony. Half way there it dislodged and the pain stopped. Turned around, went back home and passed it a couple of days later. That was an unusual sensation.
Oh yeah. It sucked. The pain was excruciating.
I cant remember how big it was, but it was relatively small. When I was at the urologist afterward, the nurse told me there was a guy in there with one 3 times the size, and I think she used the word “spikes” . Wow.
