Sorry for being gone awhile, but I came back with a superb shot of geysers in New Zealand:

Rare triple eruption of Kereru, Prince of Wales Feathers and Pohutu Geysers, Te Puia, Rotorua. Click for full size!

I've got several pictures lined up, so I should get more consistent again!

As a bonus, here's a 4-minute video of Prince of Wales Feathers and Pohutu geysers in action, and it also briefly shows the pool the Kereru erupts from. With all due respect to Strokkur in Iceland, Rotorua is the 2nd-best geyser area in the world* (especially after the landslide in the Valley of Geysers, Kamchatka, and besides, how many people were going to ever get there, anyway?)

*counting all of Yellowstone as #1, of course

What is that - a blowhole or a geyser? Where?

There are some seismic events that are going to occur in the coming months that are going to shake the britches off of people who have never felt the Earth move.

This is as it should be.

“people who have never felt the Earth move.”

I’ll make a point of telling my wife.
