On your computer right click the ‘My Computer’ icon and go to ‘Manage’.
On the left side of the Computer Management console expand the ‘Services and Applications’
Click into ‘Services’
On the right side panel navigate to ‘Windows Firewall/ICS’ and right click on it and select ‘Properties’
If it is not set to ‘Automatic’ (which is what I suspect) then set it to Automatic and then click Apply and OK.
That should do it.

Thank you so much for the advice! I took it and it is already set at "automatic," so that's not the problem. However, I did go in and tell it to restart the program in the event of a failure. Hope that was the right thing to do.

Even after setting it to restart itself in the event of failure, I just had to enable my Windows firewall again.
