Quick: What's the IRQ and memory address of COM4? The frequency of a DDR3 bus? The name of the latest Intel processor bridge?

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

Job Skills:
Short bullet lists. Example
- While working for Company Name followed by bullets and short description of job skills performed at that job. Education on last separate page. The less you write the better the chance a person will read it. Short bullet lists quickly give the reader a chance to view your job experience level and skills. Depending on your current age. The resume can take on a chronological order or if your age is getting up there, perhaps leave the dates out where you worked for each company. But you should also include references where possible or explain why you cannot. People understand many of us move from company to company or work for ourselves etc., for a number of reasons.

For starters, eliminate “as mostly known, 58 years old” and use bullet points for each job/job description.

That is what we call in the English speaking world, an understatement.

You could have your resume professionally rewritten for just a few hundred dollars. That would be money very well spent.

I’m a career counselor. Employers spend 15 seconds scanning a resume. Use bullets, plain language, and action words as the first word of each bullet.

Yes, use ‘ bullet points ‘ within your resume. Here is a link to Wikipedia which explains what a bullet point looks like and its use.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bullet_(typography)

Keep your resume short and to the point! You might want to look into having someone who is a native English speaker examine the resume for any flaws.

I wish you the best of luck in your job search, FRiend!

Try this as a starting point. The last paragraph needs cleaning up and I would expand on where you worked and things achievements you attained in the position. Age, sex, etc do not need to be mentioned in a resume so I also recommend revising the first sentence to exclude the year 1973. If you have Microsoft Word or Works try using one of the resume templates.

Civil Engineer has been working in IT since 1973, and has been Programmer, Chief Programmers Team, Chief Programmers Pool, Systems Analyst, Project Leader, Chief Project Leader, Project Manager, IT Consultant to States Government and Federal Government in Brazil, Business Consultant and Business Man.

Hey guys?

You´re all having lots of fun with it aren´t you?

But it was an honest to God search for help...

Sorry if you do not think so or do not like it...

When you are 58, unemployed and trying to change course, this is serious. Not trying to victimize myself here ...

It´s just I used to write resume in Portuguese like this, short and cursive, with no bullets and all. CV is all another format.

The question is: Is the English Bad?

Anyway, thank you all...
