MOOROOKA: Feral cats ``the size of dogs’’ have been terrorising Moorooka residents for more than a year, with one resident and her dog mauled just last week.

Residents near Gainsborough St say they have been scratched, bitten, hissed at and intimidated several times by the cat pack.

They say they asked five times to have the cats removed, but were told by Brisbane City Council that they would have to set traps and remove the cats themselves.

But now the council is taking steps to have the cats rounded up.

A spokesperson said the cats had an owner who was surrendering some of them to council shelters for rehoming. Residents maintain however that some of the cats are wild.

Sure, after I suffer a fatal heart attack/stroke in bed in the middle of the night, the catz will nibble at my soft fleshy parts until the family figures out that I'm gone. I expect that.

But while I'm alive, there ain't no damn cat alive that can expect to extend clawz in my direction and retain inner-ear balance. I'd beat 'em into next Tuesday.

Obviously it's Radiation induced giganticism! Ants, grasshoppers, shrews, a human female and now cats as big as dogs. Watch out for the mosquitoes.

Tell her to buy a tennis racket. Very effective in defending one’s self from “feral cats” (we call them barn cats and they are great for rodent control)
