This is an incredibly powerful video that shows the tsunami slowly rolling into the city from the beginning when a car in the screen shot above is still driving on the road. It begins to look like a river that has begun to flood as it rolls flows left-to-right with the video capturing it all. As if the water were rolling down hill, but fact is it is rolling in from the sea.
As the Pacific Ocean moves into the city you will be stunned by the sheer power of the water as it slowly washes away everything in it's path. You will soon wonder what ever happened to the car that was driving on the road just moments before and praying the person made it to safety.
The video goes on for a full 6 minutes with the volume of water increasing all the time. By the time the video ends, the city that looked like a normal 21 century metropolitan is left in ruins as the person filming heads to higher ground via the steps in the screen shot above, to give us a view of what happened to the city they may have called home.
Here is the link to the video
Kind of makes me think of how the Democrats roll into Congress every year and lay waste to everything as they go.
Good analogy. I remember Jim McDougal saying the Clinton’s were like a tornado that destroyed everything in their path.
That was the most incredible tsunami footage I’ve seen yet.
Devastating is an understatement. No single word could describe that.
There is another video which has been seen frequently, where the street in this video is seen in the background, with traffic obliviously running along the street, while a wall of water, with ships, cars, buildings and other debris is headed towards a high sea wall.
Complementary videos. I hope someone manages to combine them as a split screen. I would, if I knew how.
Terrifying. Even those on top of the hill must have been in fear for their lives. Where are all the people? (rhetorical question). Only a few can be seen on top of the hill or roofs of buildings.

This video has been the subject of a thread at least three times on FR.
BUT, that doesn’t mean everyone has seen it, so I am not complaining, just noting it.
Worst part is the water isn’t all that deep. It’s hard to believe the power it has.
Thanks for posting, I showed it to my grandchildren, to show them the power of nature.

By your mere mention of it, means you will come off like you are complaining.
Sometimes it is better to just let things pass by then to point out something that many would not know, because they normally do not look at the archives, so they are happy to see it posted again.
I am not complaining mind you, just noting it.
I wondered where they were too. And where is the siren coming from?
