They’re pretty good at manipulating men, too. At least mine are.

I believe most of this. Our cat gets lots of attention from me. And just because I call her “The Bean Child” (she likes refried beans...WTF???) doesn’t really mean she is our child...

Cats manipulate women? Hmpf. That's just silly.
My cat doesn't manipulate
me at all.
Aww, here she comes now. Do you manipoowate your mamma? Do you, my precious widdle biddy baby kitten? Hmm? No you don't! No you don't! Here's a treat!

I don’t know if you have time, but if so, you might enjoy this article. It contains insights on how our felines interact so well with us—and why they end up getting just about anything they want, when they want it.
To: Slings and Arrows

I have her right where she wants me.
To: Slings and Arrows
I don't think cats are picky as long as we serve them unfailingly.

Mine is too. Although technically, she’s my wife’s cat.
That said, I’m quite fond of her (both “her”s).

This is my kitteh.
She is a rescue kitteh, and only has half a tail.
When I was recovering from surgery, she went into "nurse kitteh" mode!

our cats totally control us here. I sing and they let me know pretty quickly which songs and sounds they do and do not like. LOL.
