It was a bull shark that took the arm of Bethanie Hamilton in Hawaii on a section of reef/shore with zero history of shark attacks.

That attack was attributed to a tiger shark.

There are no bull sharks in Hawaii-that's a break for the Hawaiian tourist industry. - tom
