I never finished watching the Magnificent Seven and had occasions to watch the ending, even during my high school years and just never had the time to finish it especially the last 30 minutes, so what better way to cover up the puke-a-thon from p-Resident Pinochio's BS OTU than watching a classic.
It sucks that Charles bronson, James Coburn and Vaughn kicked the bucket in the end. Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen...when actors were men and now we are stuck with metrosexual pukes like Clooney and Damon who lecture us to be libtards like them. The golden years of Hollywood I tell ya.
Agreed,My 11 year old son just thinks Mcqueen is the heat.
Come, come, there were plenty of she-men back in the “good old days”...they just called them “confirmed bachelors” instead of queers.
And I know Tony Curtis wasn’t in the film you watched, but can you belief that piece of fluff screwed all those decent lookin’ dames back in the day? Makes one wonder.
Greatest. Movie. Theme. Song. Ever.
I watched a great basketball game between Florida and Georgia, the Gators won in 2 overtimes.
Its a good theme song but The Great Escape is better.
It’s a great story! Government intervention, zip.

You’re right. Never thought of that angle before. I know the villagers took it upon themselves to at least hire some mercs to defend from the bad guys and not just lay down.
awesome!
Your son has good taste in movies.
Good choice.
I agree. The OP theme song is hard to forget. Years ago I thought that OP was the Marlboro Man’s theme song.
Not only did they hire some experts, they learned how to shoot in order to do some of the work themselves.
Thanks. I haven’t seen Casablanca either so that’s next on list.
Now you need to watch Seven Samurai. You will appreciate both movies more, if you see them for comparision. ( Coburn does the knife throwing scene in Seven Samurai great) and Toshiro Mifune is, as always, the John Wayne of Japan.
Casablanca is the movie I watched with my kids every July 4, along with Sahara.. Bogart is the above average joe.
I watched the movie ‘Lie To Me’.
The seventh samurai, played by Mifune, corresponded to the character ( Chico ) played by Horst Buchholz in The Magnificent Seven.
I did watch Kurosawa’s 7 Samurai..a week ago on a Saturday afternoon. Thought it was over-hyped but it’s gritty and classic at the same time. People give me that stare that I have never watched these movies b4 but after getting Netflix it’s great.
Seriously, I;ve never seen Casablanca (will watch on Saturday night with the GF) nor ‘GONE WITH THE WIND (freakin 3 hours!) which she wants to watch too.
