Funnyman Seth Rogen was left stunned by a recent encounter with his moviemaking hero George Lucas - because the Star Wars director spent 20 minutes telling him the world would end in 2012.
Rogen was left speechless when Lucas and Steven Spielberg joined a movie meeting he was a part of - but the encounter has left him worried his life will be over next year.
He recalls, George Lucas sits down and seriously proceeds to talk for around 25 minutes about how he thinks the world is gonna end in the year 2012, like, for real. He thinks it.

Star Wars pinger-roo.
For Lucas, the world may very well end in 2012 if Sarahcuda wins the Presidency.
Jesus doesn’t know the hour or the day. What about the month and year?
“Star Wars director spent 20 minutes telling him the world would end in 2012.”
So I guess he thinks Obama is going to be re-elected?
every day the world ends for millions of people...
i do believe the date will have significant changes for our world because a few madmen deem it so...

And that is all fine.
But everyone should be very clear that these people have nothing substantive to add to an intelligent conversation. They really don't live in the real world.
If Lucas starts spending his money like there (literally) is no tomorrow, then I’ll believe he believes it . . . if not, then he’s flacking a project/book/movie/etc.
This explains the Star Wars prequels. They were one long, badly-acted suicide note.
Either that or Lucas is now Mayan. Either way, COO-COO!
Which explains why Star Wars is coming out on Blu-Ray this year!
For Lucas, or for the audience?
George Lucas, another Lib loon:
“Lucas explained politely as I listened contritely... George Bush is Darth Vader, he said. Cheney is the emperor.
I was driving on the beltway a few years ago listening to a CSPAN interview Golding, the NASA administrator. This older woman called in and began to berate him about the fake moon mission and demanding he release the tapes and expose the hoax for all the world to see. Goldin was just quiet and after she had her say, they moved on to another caller.
This must have been another one of those moments. Used to be wacky people would be kept quiet and sometimes in line by their families and friends. Not so anymore.
I read Lucas’ interview in mag 2 years ago. He’s a big time lib and absolutely oblivious that libs are “not” crazy.
I do enjoy the Clone Wars on Cartoon Network but not the “republic” political episodes with Amidala.
Rogen should keep in mind that Lucas has been a professional story teller for about 40 years now. Just because he says, and says it with conviction, doesn’t mean he believes it. Or, as a magician friend of mine often says: sincerity is everything, once you can fake that you can do anything.

I wonder what we did this time
Sometimes the only response to some people is, “If YOU say so.”
