Guy working in another office in our building (before I retired) was an officer in the Army Reserve. He'd done active duty as a ranger.
So, one weekend he pulled duty of some sort and he jumped out a plane ~ just to practice ~ it's like if you don't use it then it falls off and who wants that.
Guy broke both ankles. Splinters in his shins ~ from the inside.
It was like he died from then on out. He didn't limp because both legs were screwy in the same way ~ so he could still look good in his uniform.
But it really was like your ditty has it ~ he ain't gonna' jump no more.

Good question.
Perhaps because, as his About page states, he is only 16 years old and has no idea about courage and bravery.

and you posted this crap...WHY? Perhaps because many of us do not know it as crap, but as a great airborne song that we all know by heart. Those who think it crap cannot begin to understand why we like it.

Why not? Why did you bother reading it if it offended your hippie sensibilities? Having been a paratrooper, i like the song, brings back good memories of great times and people, .so bugger off. Better men than you have earned this kid the right to post.

Hey — Don’t mean nothin!— some memories is memories some remind us of what ought be expected thanks to a Congress divorced from the Founding Principles of Religion and Morality.
