In the long run, though, it won’t matter. If the powers that be want him in the race (and of course ultimately elected), residency rules will not matter. None of the powers that be took the time to verify the credibility of Obama’s birth certificate, so why should a little thing like residency matter to Chicago?

I get the feeling, from what I have read, that the powers do not want Rahm to be Mayor.

Laws do no apply with any consistency within the city limits of Chicago. Well, except for unconstitutional gun laws.
