The “Happy Holidays vs Merry Christmas” argument seems like a staged conflict meant to take the attention off important things.

I don’t have any interest in it.

Agreed. It’s a non issue. A lot of people are out of town and won’t see each other from around christmas until after the new year. “Happy Holidays” covers everything.

There is nothing wrong with saying “Happy Holidays.” People have said it for years to include Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day all in one holiday wish. The issue is when it’s used to avoid recognizing the very holidays the greeting refers to or people are forced to use it against their will by employers, etc. Irony is holiday = Holy Day.

FOX News has been big on exposing the war against Christmas aka Christianity, I wouldn’t jump off a cliff just because they used the greeting as part of their banner.
