The headlight switch in my cars have always had three positions. Off, Parking Lights, and On.
Unless of course we're talking about the old British sports cars, MG's, Truimphs, Austin Healeys, etc. The 3 positions on a Lucas headlight switch, flicker, dim and off. Ask anyone who restored one why they call Lucas the "Prince of Darkness".
