Take a look at Boxer's poll numbers. Compare the last 5 polls to the previous 5. Her numbers are clearly going down. She is only getting about 45%, and in several of those polls they are over sampling Democrats. They are sampling Democrats at a higher rate than showed up at the polls in 2008, that will never happen. Plus Fiorina has avoided a lot of the mud that has surrounded Whitman. Boxer is gone.

Any time an incumbant polls under 50% its bad news. Its not a guarenteed loss but it won’t be a sleepy stroll to victory.
If Boxer and Patty Bin Murray both go down in flames, the “dumb as a box of rocks” demographic will still have representation in the U.S. senate with both of Minnesota’s senators and the soon-to-be junior senator from our great Commonwealth.
God I hope so.
somwhere in CA they will discover a few 18wheelers loaded with ballots that somehow got lost and all seem to favor Boxer.
If an incumbent is close to 50% and has a decent lead they usually win. If they are 3 points or more below 50% and don’t have a good lead they are usually toast. Boxer is toast.
The Possum will not be happy!
we have such positive candidates this year...
I think COD....she's a newbie but if she pulls off the upset, she'll be great...
and Joe Miller .....he'll be on fire...
Jesse Kelly...the face of the future...
Drs Steele....Miller-Meeks...we need more doctors in Washington ( I know there's other drs....)
and what about Marco Rubio...Ryan Frazier...Char Bergman...Lollar...
very proud of all these people...
Ms. Boxer is such an unsavory person.
But remember, there are still millions and millions of people in CA who vote and depend of government $$$$. More than ever.
Yes, and that is why she is still only polling at 45%.
I really, really, want to see Don’t-Call-Me-Ma’am go down, but in her campaign ads Fiorina is already talking about “reaching across the aisle.” IMO, the only time a Republican should reach across the aisle is when they are slapping some sense into a Democrat.
RE: Plus Fiorina has avoided a lot of the mud that has surrounded Whitman. Boxer is gone.
Fiorina and Whitman will rise or fall TOGETHER. People usually vote along party lines. Seldom do people vote one and not the other.
Poll Ping!
RE: the fact 45% of Californians support her is scary.
Dick Morris made this observation as a long time poll watcher and pollster -— If a big, well known name like Barbara Boxer or Harry Reid cannot get past 50% as the election day nears, it is a sure sign that there are too many UNDECIDEDS.
In Morris’ experience, the undecideds often break by 80% in favor of the challenger if the well known incumbent is still at 45%.
That Boxer and Reid, with their well-known names, cannot at this point in time reach the 50% number, is a bad sign for these Dems.
I dearly hope this thread title is correct. At the same time, however, I would encourage all Freepers to refer to her as “Senator Boxer” in order to demonstrate the deep respect we have for her.

RE: Boxer and Patty Dummy and Harry Reid and Hoyer and Grayson and Dingle are just a few of the rats I would rejoice loudly if they lose....
My dream is to see Bawney Frank go back to his Penthouse permanently to start his own male escort business instead of inflicting himself on the rest of the nation.
With him looking desperate ( he loaned his campaign $200,000 in a sign of desperation, see here : http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2611389/posts ), it just might happen. I HOPE !!
I was at the Steele - Dingell debate last night...
Almost at the end, and the moderator looks towards Dr Steele for his response to a Dingell answer and has the following Fruedian Slip...
"Congressman Steele your Response..."
LOL !!!! It took 30 seconds for the crowd to calm down !
