Left-handers are at a disadvantage playing infield positions in baseball, the pivot is wrong trying to throw to first from second, third or shortstop. We’re also disadvanged playing catcher. Since the majority of batters will be right-handed, trying to throw down a steal at second or third could end up with the throw going into the batter’s ear.
