NEW YORK (AP) -- A New York City man who plunged 40 stories from the rooftop of an apartment building has survived after crashing onto a parked car.
Witnesses and police say 22-year-old Thomas Magill jumped from the high-rise at West 63rd Street on Tuesday. He landed in the backseat area of a Dodge Charger after crashing through the windshield.
He suffered broken legs...

There are easier ways to get to street level from the upper floors of skyscrapers. They are called stairs and elevators. Takes a little longer but they hurt far less than taking a header onto the roof of a car or hard pavement.
George:Yes, you see, the deceased landed on my car. The splat, as it were, actually took place on the roof of my car. I can’t help but think that had it been a convertible this whole tragedy may have been averted but I’ve never been the type to buy a convertible, what with the baldness and all.
