Sarah Palin’s Alaska, Featuring Kate Gosselin, To Premiere Nov. 14th On TLC

Hey, all, do you remember Sarah Palin? I know it’s been awhile, but think back. Palin was John McCain’s running mate in 2008. Ah, now you remember. Well, as we all know, after the election, Palin vanished from public view which was too bad because she really seemed like an interesting character. Fortunately, TLC has announced that the famously spotlight-shunning former governor’s new TV show, Sarah Palin’s Alaska, will premiere this November. Finally we’ll get some Palin back in our lives!

For those of you who haven’t been following the progress of the program, it’s “a new eight-part documentary series about the remarkable Governor Palin and her home state of Alaska.” It is being executive produced by Mark Burnett of Survivor fame but will not feature cast members being voted off every week (my money was on Levi Johnston leaving early). However, it will showcase some reality TV mainstays, namely an appearance by Kate Gosselin, a woman who hates the limelight nearly as much as Palin. Gee, having the two of them together is almost as momentous an occasion as if JD Salinger had agreed to do a show where he interviews Bobby Fischer.

Think about it.
Governor Palin's 2nd book is coming out in November.
People will vote in the mid-terms and oust the Dems (hopefully). That means more attention will be made on which one of Sarah's endorsements have won.
She has this documentary (Yes, I know that the haters are focusing exclusively on Kate Gosselin so that they can slime Sarah as a brain-dead celebutoid by association) which will air through the end of the year.
Right after the mid-terms the jockeying for 2012 will begin.
Sarah's name will dominate the news through the holiday season into January, drowning out the other Republicans thinking about running.
Is this woman brilliant or what?

Me too - AK is a beautiful state, and the former guv does a great job of representing its treasures. I love it when people take pride in their state and/or region & know its history/traditions. But, I know it’s old-fashioned - given how much most hate this country & everything about it these days.

Will there be anything to feature with Kate and the Eight since Kate only hung around for a couple of hours before huffing it out of there when she was introduced to the Luggable Loo.... I bet that episode will have to be reshot with a different theme. AK has lots of interesting sites to feature so that shouldn’t be that hard to do.

Kate Goselins public divorce (I never watched Kate and Jon plus 8) was exploited and personally left me hoping that kate and jon would go away for a long while.

If Sarah is doing a doc on Alaska makes me question the two time ex-fiance’s timing on trying to nuzzle back in the family and looking to get a reality show with the daughter and her kid.

We really like Sarah and align with her views but I think she would be better suited as a spokesperson for Conservatives, plus she can sock away the money her son may need in trust for life time care needs, if he is unable to work, to early to tell the extent of his capabilities.
