Mel Gibson's soon-to-be-ex-wife Robyn is coming out in support of the embattled actor in a sworn declaration filed with in court this morning, according to a new report.
"Mel never engaged in any physical abuse of any kind toward me before, during or after our marriage ... Mel was a wonderful and loving father," she wrote, TMZ.com reported.
The document was filed as part of the custody battle between Gibson and ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva. Lawyers for both sides are in a Los Angeles courtroom today in the matter.

“She must have worked really hard.”
I can’t remember the exact story about their early years - but there was a time when she did support him while he struggled with his blossoming career.
Then she gave up her career to bear and raise his children.
And from Mel’s own description of his own behavior - she put up with a heckuvalot of sh*t throughout all of it.
She doesn't strike me as being stupid. He cheated on her for years. I think she'd place the blame squarely where it belongs, on Gibson.
I didn't read the rest of your post. Your too busy pointing fingers and gloating.
Have a nice day.
You leveled some very bizarre accusations at me personally. I still don’t know where they came from. I thought personal attacks were discouraged. I’d like to think I could share some generalized information on a discussion thread, for whatever it’s worth. It may or may not be pertinent, but it should be permissible, sans personal attacks, to offer it into the general mix.
Good gravy! The other poster says he's my hero! LOL!!!
Your post.
Do you know if the agreement instructs that the $400 million be used to take care of the kids, or will he also have to pay her more for each of them?
Because I think he’s going to take a big hit financially in the future.
BTW, if he said what he said, he has only himself to blame. He should have been in rehab long ago.
I am sorry that I concluded that only a short sighted idolatry and hero worship of the man could lead one to such a conclusion.
The guy is a sick twisted racist, a Holocaust denier, and apparently the kind of guy who would knock a woman's teeth out while she held their infant.
You may think the tapes are not authentic.
You may think he didn't really knock her teeth out.
You may think that if he DID knock her teeth out it was because SHE was out of control and he was dispassionately doing what he could to protect their child.
But to think the guy isn't a racist? Because he had good working relationships with other races in the past? The Whoopi Goldberg ‘he isn't a RACIST racist’ position?
Really?
But I suppose you didn't really admire the guy beforehand, so your conclusion couldn't possibly be based upon anything but a dispassionate review of the evidence of the man's own words.
Whatever.
I’m not the other poster.
I have no idea what the agreement is.
I am sure he is going to lose alot of money over this.
He’s been to rehab - you know how that goes.
Some of these kids are adults - probably just about all of them, so I’m sure it’s complicated as to who waits for money and who already has it?
You want my honest opinion? He needs to lay off the alcohol and start taking meds for his bipolar disease. He wouldn't have been such an easy target for a gold digger otherwise.
I didn’t say any of the things you accused me of in my original post, or at any time thereafter. I didn’t even address my original post to you. You just took out after me as if I’d insulted you personally. I never once insulted you; I don’t go in for personal attacks.
Oh for crying out loud! You inferred that Robyn Gibson was in denial. I called you on it. Get over it.
I addressed that point already. Twice.
You keep making the same false accusations against me again and again. So I can let them stand, or answer. Try this: stoop accusing me of things I didn’t say.
You never said in post 31: Id like to point out that there is such a thing as denial.
Why not be an adult. Walk away. You got called on a statement and didn't like it.
Bye.
I agree.
geesh.....what Christian doesn’t know that? Whi said he was condemned to hell?? Not me....I said his actions were as if he was possessed by Satan.
Finally, something we can agree on. Yes, there is such a thing as denial, and yes, I pointed out that in a general, psychological sense it does exist.
Have a good night.
Are you an authority on demonic possession Ann? If so, could you perhaps expound a bit on the differences between demonic oppression vs actual possession, and how a person becomes possessed? I’m curious as to why you think Satan himself would possess Mel Gibson instead of delegating such a task to one of his subordinates?
