'Beavis and Butt-head" -- the show that celebrated the slacker way of life and helped make MTV into a network that did more than just play music videos -- is coming back.
The move to resurrect the hugely popular 1990s animated anti-heroes has been rumored for several days. But yesterday, sources at MTV confirmed that a new batch of "Beavis and Butt-head" episodes are in the works.
The new series would keep Beavis and Butt-head in their perpetual high-school state, but it would be updated so that the pals -- who obsessively watch music videos on a battered TV set -- could lob their snarky comments at more current targets like Lady Gaga.

Nachos rule!
My favorite was the boys always trying to bluff their way through an answer with “or something.”
I thought their appearance on Robot Chicken in 2005 was the last we were ever going to see of them. I glad that’s not so.

I only need to turn on the news to see Barack and Bite-me, the replacements for Beavis and Butthead.

Are you threatening me?!? I introduced my 19yo son to Beavis & Butthead a few months ago, and the Great Cornholio has been a nearly constant household companion since then!

One of my favorite episodes was when the boys found that large tire and one of them got in and rolled down a hill... past some skinny old dude working on his fifth wheel and his fat slob of a wife and then past a train coming down the track... causing a derailment.
All the while the boys (as usual) were clueless at the calamatiy they've unleashed.
Good stuff.

YES!! I’m with you on watching MTV again. I literally haven’t switched it to that channel in years.
(If I want to watch a video anymore, I go online or check out Fuse TV)

I still wonder how Judge is going to work through the way MTV is now ( not showing videos ) for modern audiences. The boys sitting around making hilarious comments about videos may not relate to younger people who don't even know people once did that.

That is a very good point. I hadn’t considered that. It may not be as funny as it was to our generation!

‘Beavis & Butthead’ helped me keep my sanity when I was working full time and going to graduate school at night. I’d come home from class, turn on MTV, and go “Huh huh, huh, huh!” - it was very theraputic.

I can’t help it, I plead guilty - Beavis “I Am Cornholio” running around the White House will get me in stitches every time.
Now, the real life version is NOT amusing...

He made fun of videos in heavy MTV rotation, but he also used it as an opportunity to get videos by Dick Dale, Lou Reed, and The Cramps on MTV.
